Software License Agreement (EULA)
Last updated: October 15, 2026
This End User License Agreement (“EULA”) is a binding agreement between you and Area 61 Worldwide LLC, doing business as solidground (“solidground”, “we”, “us”). It applies to every plugin, application, preset, sample, update, trial and other software we provide, current and future, including SoundSpace (each a “Product”), along with its installers, documentation and license keys.
By downloading, installing, activating or using a Product, or by clicking “Agree” in an installer, you accept this EULA and our Terms of Service, including the arbitration agreement and class-action waiver in section 14 of the Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Product, and delete any copies.
1. License grant
Subject to this EULA and to paying any applicable fee, solidground grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the Product in object-code form on computers you own or control, up to the number of activations included with your purchase (shown at checkout and in your account; 3 machines unless stated otherwise).
Your music is yours. You may use the Product to create, perform, record, mix and release audio and other works, commercially or not, with no royalties or credit owed to us. We claim no ownership of your projects or recordings.
2. Trials and free versions
Trial, demo, beta and free versions may be time-limited, feature-limited or watermarked, may stop working without notice, and are provided strictly “as is” for evaluation. They exist so you can confirm that a Product works with your computer, operating system and DAW before you buy it.
3. Restrictions
Except as expressly allowed by this EULA or by law that cannot be waived, you may not:
- copy, distribute, sell, rent, lease, lend, share, sublicense or transfer the Product or a license key;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or try to derive the source code of the Product, or modify or create derivative works of it;
- remove, disable, bypass or tamper with license activation, copy protection, update checks or any notices;
- extract or redistribute the Product's presets, samples, graphics or other assets as a standalone product or as part of a competing product;
- use the Product to build a competing product, or in violation of any law.
4. Activation, internet connection and updates
- Activating a paid Product requires an internet connection and your license key. The Product contacts solidground's servers (api.solidgrnd.co) to activate, periodically re-verifies the license, and may check for updates. To enforce activation limits, it sends a one-way hashed identifier derived from your computer, the Product version and your license key. See our Privacy Policy.
- You can release an activation from a machine you no longer use; contact us if you need help. Moving to a new computer is allowed within your activation limit.
- We may, but are not obliged to, provide updates, upgrades, bug fixes, new features or support. Updates may change or remove features and are covered by this EULA. Major new versions may be sold separately.
- We do not guarantee that any Product will remain compatible with future operating systems, DAWs, plugin formats or hardware, or that activation and update services will be available forever. We may discontinue a Product or service at any time.
5. Audio safety and your projects
Protect your hearing and equipment. Audio software can produce sudden, very loud or distorted output, feedback or full-scale digital noise, especially when settings change, routing is altered or a bug occurs. Always monitor at a safe level, use a limiter on your output, and turn your volume down before loading, changing or testing a Product. Prolonged exposure to loud sound can cause permanent hearing loss.
Back up your work. Plugins run inside your DAW and may cause crashes, freezes, lost audio, timing problems or corrupted projects. Save often and keep backups of your projects and recordings. You are solely responsible for your data, sessions, mixes and masters, and for checking every result the Product produces before you release, deliver or broadcast it.
The Product is not designed or licensed for live broadcast, public address, or any safety-critical, medical or life-support use, and you use it in those settings entirely at your own risk.
6. Ownership and third-party components
The Product is licensed, not sold. solidground and its licensors keep all rights, title and interest in the Product, including all intellectual property. The Product may include third-party or open-source components licensed under their own terms, which are available on request and which control for those components.
7. Termination
This license lasts until terminated. It ends automatically, without notice, if you breach this EULA, if your payment is refunded, reversed or charged back, or if your license is revoked for fraud or abuse. We may also deactivate keys that have been shared, leaked or used beyond their activation limit. When the license ends you must stop using and delete the Product. Sections 3, 5, 6 and 8 to 11 survive termination.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Product is provided “as is” and “as available”, with all faults and without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, solidground disclaims all warranties, express, implied or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and that the Product will be compatible with your system, operate without interruption or error, be free of harmful code, or that defects will be corrected. You assume the entire risk as to the quality, results and performance of the Product.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, solidground will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of data, recordings, projects, profits, revenue, business or goodwill, computer failure or malfunction, hearing damage, or damage to speakers, headphones or other equipment, arising from or related to the Product or this EULA, however caused, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for all claims will not exceed the amount you actually paid for the Product giving rise to the claim (or US $50 if you paid nothing).
10. Export and government use
You may not use, export or re-export the Product in violation of US export laws or sanctions, or anywhere or by anyone those laws prohibit. If you are a US government user, the Product is “commercial computer software” licensed only with the rights given in this EULA.
11. General
This EULA is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and disputes are resolved as set out in the Terms of Service (including informal resolution, individual arbitration and the class-action waiver). If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. We may update this EULA by posting a new version here; your continued use of a Product after a change means you accept it. Nothing in this EULA limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived. Questions: hello@solidgrnd.co.
